Flexibility and the freedom of surface finishing are the distinguishing features of the open spiral strands in stainless steel of the UMIX system. The high-quality stainless-steel spiral strands form the basis for the cable system. The range of fittings, which are perfectly tailored to the stainless-steel cables, allows many different applications – for instance in façade and membrane construction.
Our open spiral strands with GALFAN coating allow the combination of cable flexibility with fatigue resistance. Combined with the fittings, the cables are used in bridges, as part of façades or for truss systems.
Due to their larger nominal cable diameters and the resulting higher limited tensile force ranges, fully locked cables are frequently used as suspension and tensioning cables in bridge constructions. A large number of Spelter Sockets and accessories allow for a wide range of applications, even under dynamic stresses.
