I want to thank you and your team for designing, producing and installing a beautiful fabric canopy structure over our walkway to the parkade/car rental area. We continue to receive great comments on how nice it looks from our executives, staff, business partners and passengers since it was completed in May of this year. It truly meets our high aesthetic standards at YVR and keeps passengers dry along this walkway.

The entire FabriTec team was very professional to work with. We had a good working relationship with the project manager, the designers and engineers, and the installers. A lot of communication went back and forth; photographs, dimensions, shop drawings, 3D modeling of the canopy, safety requirements, delivery logistics and coordination with our onsite contractor building the foundations for the canopy structures. This entire process was all done by phone and email. It was lengthy, but diligent and necessary for the components to fit in place upon arrival.

In the end, we had 3 horizontal steel struts and one cable that did not fit. FabriTec wasted no time in finding a local steel fabricator to make 3 new struts, had them painted, and reinstalled. The new cable was manufactured and shipped to site in less than a week. There was no arguing; the focus was on getting the project properly completed. I viewed this as a lesson learned, that even with a great deal of planning, there is still risk. It is how one deals with the unplanned situation, that defines a good company. I admired how FabriTec dealt with the challenge.
