FabriTec Structures premiered their iconic centerpiece fabric structure during the March 2007 UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 at the recently renovated Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The 7,000 square foot structure, strategically located in the center of the speedway “Fan Zone” area, allows NASCAR fans the opportunity to comfortably watch the race from a unique vantage point.

The large steel truss around the PTFE fabric structure with its size, curvature, and angle was custom-designed to emulate the theme of a car circling the track. The fan zone features a state-of-the-art media center, concession stands and an area for live bands and other entertainers to perform. “We are making Las Vegas Motor Speedway the greatest speedway in the world,” says Speedway Motorsports Chairman Bruton Smith. “Las Vegas is all about glitz and glamour. This speedway is as spectacular as anything on the Las Vegas Strip.” FabriTec also provided custom tensile structures to cover the two-level 52,000 square foot roof deck which allows fans to look directly down into the individual garage stalls as the teams work on their cars. The fabrics provide plenty of shade and eliminate the glare on the glass windows which gives fans a cool, clear view. “This area will offer a perspective on the sport of auto racing that never has been available to the average race fan,” says Chris Powell, LVMS general manager. “And the fan interactive area will bring an element of entertainment that is befitting of the culture of Las Vegas. The possibilities will be limitless.”

Our company contracted Fabric Structures for the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and FabriTec Structures, met all our expectations.

FabriTec came on board in the very initial stage and started working with our design team to nurture and develop the right concept to meet our needs.

After many different schemes, Fabritec develop the winning combination that satisfied our design requirements, practical needs and budget.

The Neon Garage project was made up of approximately 24,000 square feet of PTFE membrane and constructed in 2007.

We believe Fabric Structures is capable of handling any projects, large and small and would recommend them to anyone considering their services.
