Signature Air Canopy

FabriTec Structures has been awarded the contract to design and build a replacement canopy for Signature Air, the “mother of all FBO canopies”, located at the Signature Flight Support Corporation in Tampa, Florida. Originally built in 1980 by BirdAir, the new structure will expand on the original structure’s durability with improved foundations, connections, and attention to detail while keeping its novel shape.

Located at one of the top-rated Fixed Base Operations (FBOs) in the country, the canopy has become an emblem synonymous with the aviation services facility itself and is a well-known landmark among pilots and locals alike.

Signature Flight Support has the world’s largest network of FBOs, delivering essential services for business and private aviation; such as refueling, hangarage, maintenance, repair and overhaul, and other amenities.

The Signature Air Tampa canopy project will be yet another airport canopy Pfeifer FabriTec will have completed recently. Other airport projects include the saddle canopies at TEXRail DFW Airport Terminal B Station the company completed at the end of last year and the ETFE canopy at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport that will be the largest ETFE structure in North America when completed later this year.
